Perks for your business
Drop-In Desk
Our no-strings co-working is a stand alone option for independent workers who need a desk away from home or the office, every now and then.
It’s ideal if you need to drop-in and use a desk for the day, but can’t commit to needing it more than a few times a month or week, or if you have an ever changing schedule.
- Access to our shared co-working space (9.00am to 5.00pm) Mon-Fri
- Access to a hot desk
- Access to our atrium space, ideal for informal meetings
- Use of communal kitchen and free tea & coffee
If you only need one-off or occasional use of our co-working spaces, this option is for you. We take £15 plus VAT payment upon arrival. Please bring along two forms of ID, one of which must be photographic such as a driver’s license or passport. If you’re looking for co-working in Halifax make sure to get in touch.

Co-working FAQs
Can I hold meetings in the coworking space?
We don’t recommend using the co-working space for meetings as other members may find it a distraction and you cannot be guaranteed privacy.
If you require a private space for phone calls or in person meetings, while working form our co-working space, you can book a small tenant meeting room for £10 per hour (maximum use of 3 hours).
We also have several dedicated meeting rooms in the Centre that can be hired either by the half or full day. Find out more about our meeting rooms.
Please speak to our front of house team if you’d like to discuss these options.
Do I need to book a space?
We always advise our co-workers to book space if they know they’ll need it. You can do this by contacting our reception team on 01422 399400. Alternatively, you can drop in as most days the co-working space isn’t full, but we can’t guarantee a desk if you haven’t booked.
Do you have car parking?
Yes! Parking is available to all tenants from as little as £80 per month for a dedicated parking space in our secure onsite car park. Visitors are welcome to use our visitor car park free of charge, subject to availability.
How can I pay?
We can invoice you at the end of the month. Alternatively we can send a proforma invoice for upfront payment.
How do I sign-up?
You can sign up to become a member of our co-working community by contacting us.
We will then send you registration documents to complete and carry out a credit check. Once those are complete you’ll be able to access the co-working space.
How much does it cost?
Our Drop-In desk Co-working at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre is charged at £15 per day + VAT. If you use the space very infrequently (less that twice a month), you can pay and go.
For more frequent Co-working or a dedicated desk, we invoice at the end of each calendar month. You get five co-working days included in our gold package, so if you use more than this, you will be charged for the number of additional days you have used during the month.
What do I get for my money?
Located in one of our bright and spacious office spaces, our co-working facility gives individuals access to a desk, high-speed WIFI and tea and coffee making facilities. We also have a café onsite with indoor and outdoor seating, a peace garden for quiet escape and our popular Atrium which is perfect for informal meetings and business lunches all of which are available to our co-workers. You’ll also receive invites to our monthly networking events – a great way to make new contacts.
What is coworking/shared space?
Co-working is an alternative to dedicated office space where members only pay for the days that they use the Centre. This flexibility means that our co-working space is extremely popular with freelancers and start-up businesses who prefer low overheads and flexibility but that don’t want to work exclusively from a home office or kitchen table.
What’s the difference between Co-working and a dedicated desk?
We refer to our shared working space as a co-working space, where individuals can use hot-desks for occasional or ad-hoc use and where our dedicated desks are based.
Dedicated desks are for those who need to use a desk more frequently but have flexible work schedules that mean they don’t need to commit to a private office space. Dedicated desks are reserved for these individuals and paid for monthly, hot-desks are available for those who have a less regular need for a desk and don’t mind hopping on to any desk available.
Co-working space here is fantastic, professional reception and building access. Solid, fast internet connection. Even free milk for your free tea and coffee all in the same cost. Thanks to Jason and the rest of the team.
