When you hire meeting space at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre, we take care of everything
We understand what goes on when organising a meeting or event, which is why we’re here to help! We’ll get everything prepared at our end, based on your booking requirements, and ensure everything is available as and when you need it.
From seating arrangements to connectivity, we have you covered. And, with an onsite café serving tasty homemade food available for catering, all you need to bring is your A-game!

Meeting Room FAQs

Booking outside of booking hours are subject to a one-off £30 booking fee plus £25 per hour or part thereof. For example, a booking for the Piece Hall room from 8am-6pm would cost:
- Full day room hire (8:30am – 5:00pm): £195
- One-off out of hours fee: £30
Additional hours:
- (8:00am – 8:30am) – £25
- (5:00pm – 6:00pm) – £25
TOTAL: £275
Catering and tea/coffee an biscuits are also chargeable, as an add on. Please see the ‘Can we use outside catering’ and ‘Is tea and coffee included’ FAQs for more information about these.

Unfortunately the Centre is only open Monday – Friday between 7:45am – 5:45pm. As such we cannot accommodate bookings on a weekend.

Yes. All our rooms come with HD Plasma screens and hi-speed internet connection. What’s more our complimentary OWL device offers the ultimate in virtual conferencing experience with 360 degree sound, automatic zoom that picks up who is speaking and 1080p camera – why not ask for a demo next time you’re in the building.
If you’re planning a virtual meeting please let us know when booking so we can add the OWL to your package and give you the best experience possible.

As we’re lucky to have a brilliant café on site, we ask that meeting room guests use our café rather than external caterers. They’re very popular and happy to help with refreshments for your booking.

Both our Piece Hall and Park rooms have ‘Hot/Cold Taps’ for you to make a coffee, tea or cordial. We offer Bird & Wild Coffee Bags, Teapigs Tea and Mr Fitzpatrick cordials as part of our meeting room refreshments.
Our pricing is as follows:
Tea/coffee/cordial –
- Half Day, Per Head £3.50
- Full Day, Per Head £5.50
- Biscuits are chargeable at £1 per head
Our smaller rooms, Wainhouse and Market, do not have drinks facilities, but both drinks and catering packages can be ordered in advance.
