Just like our memberships, meetings at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre are built with you in mind. We currently offer 4 state of the spaces that can be booked individually or as an entire suite (or any combination in between) that can be tailored to accommodate your exact requirements.

Whether you need theatre-style seating for lectures, product launches or large team away days, or smaller private rooms for client meetings and interviews we’ve got it covered. Whats more, in these days of remote working and virtual meetings, we have the tech and connectivity to make your meetings truly global affairs, all with the backdrop of our beautifully designed spaces.

The largest of our meeting spaces, It is a popular space for training days, networking events and product launches or showcases. The Piece Hall suite is named after Halifax’s 18th Century cloth hall where local weavers would come to sell their wares.

Named after our local People’s Park, just up the road from the Centre, the Park room is a mid-sized meeting space perfect for team gatherings.

Wainhouse or Market​

The Wainhouse room, named after local landmark, Wainhouse Tower, is the perfect small meeting room for 1-2-1s, interviews and small team meetings. It is also increasingly popular with content creators looking for a dynamic space in which to record or host virtual seminars, presentations and workshops.

Meeting Room FAQs

Are there any additional charges?

Drinks for our drinks stations are charged at £1.20 + VAT. We also have additional charges for bookings that start before 8:30am or end after 5pm.

Can I book rooms on a weekend?

Unfortunately the Centre is only open Monday – Friday between 7am – 7pm. As such we cannot accommodate bookings on a weekend.

Can I host virtual meetings at your Centre?

Yes. All our rooms come with HD Plasma screens and hi-speed internet connection. What’s more our complimentary OWL device offers the ultimate in virtual conferencing experience with 360 degree sound, automatic zoom that picks up who is speaking and 1080p camera – why not ask for a demo next time you’re in the building. If you’re planning a virtual meeting please let us know when booking so we can add the OWL to your package and give you the best experience possible.

Can we use outside catering?

As we have an excellent onsite café, we do not permit visitors using our meeting rooms to use outside caterers. You can find out more about our popular café and download our catering menus.

How can I pay?

We can invoice you at the end of the month. Alternatively, we take all card payments at reception.

Is tea and coffee included?

Both our Piece Hall and Park rooms have drinks stations that serve a range of bean-to-cup coffees alongside speciality teas and herbal infusions. Drinks from the machines are charged at £1.20 + VAT per drink. These rooms also have their own water coolers that are free to use, as does our Atrium.

Our smaller rooms, Wainhouse and Market do not have drinks facilities but both drinks and catering packages can be ordered directly from our onsite café and delivered to your room. Find out more about our café.

What time can I book meeting rooms from and to?

Full day meeting room hire runs from 8:30am – 5pm and half days cover 8:30am – 12:30pm for mornings and 1pm-5pm for afternoons. Booking outside of these hours are subject to a one-off £30 booking fee plus £25 per hour or part thereof. For example, a booking for the Piece Hall room from 8am-6pm would cost:

  • Full day room hire (8:30am – 5:00pm): £150
  • One-off out of hours fee: £30

Additional hours:

  • (8:00am – 8:30am) – £25
  • (5:00pm – 6:00pm) – £25

TOTAL: £230
