Join us on the 13th December for our final HOT Networking of the year with a practical session on learning a life skill – CPR and defibrillator awareness

We’ll be joined by Cardiac Arrest survivor Neil Davidson and trainer Simon Ferris of Flat Stan First Aid, to gain practical life saving skills.

Did you know that most cardiac arrests happen in the home (72%)? The second most common place for them to happen is in the workplace (15%), which is why it’s important to become familiar with defibrillators and the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest, so quick and effective CPR can be given.

The NHS Ambulance Services attempt resuscitation in approximately 30,000 people each year and the annual incidence of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is approximately 55 per 100,000 inhabitants.*

The session will deep dive into how to spot a cardiac arrest and why your actions in the first few minutes are so crucial. You will be guided through life saving skills and have the opportunity to practice CPR on a dummy.

Event Order:

  • 8am – 8:30am Arrival and breakfast
  • 8:30 – 9:00am Welcome and Opening Pitches (60 seconds)
  • 9:00am – 9:30am Learn a life saving skill – CPR and defibrillator awareness
  • 09:30am -10:00am Networking

As ever, HOT Networking attendees are welcome to stay on after the event to use our atrium and co-working facilities for the rest of the day.

See you there!
