HOT Networking: A Look Back At 2024
Reflecting on a Fantastic Year of HOT Networking at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre!
As we wrap up another successful year here at Halifax Opportunities Trust, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what’s been an amazing year of new business connections, learning, and growth at HOT Networking. From sustainability in the workplace to exploring how to make your business cancer-aware, we’ve covered a wide range of topics that have sparked conversations and provided valuable insights to our local business community.
This past year, we took a short hiatus during the summer to reflect on the incredible feedback we’ve received from all of you. We listened closely to your thoughts on how we could make our events even better. Some suggested changing the days, while others wanted different times.
We tried a few different options, but after careful consideration, it became clear that our usual time slot was still the best fit for most of our attendees. Make sure to put a reminder in your calendar for the second Wednesday of every month between 8am-10am. We’re always keen to evolve and we’re grateful for everyone’s input in shaping the future of our networking events!
Throughout the year we had 10 events and 165 people attended our events. 74 of these were new attendees. Let’s break things down further.
A Strong Start to 2024!
We kicked off 2024 with a bang! Our networking events had impressive attendance numbers, and we welcomed 18 new attendees in January alone! Many of these newcomers have already become regulars, and it’s always a pleasure to see new faces joining our community.
The highlights of the year have been the Lloyds Bank Academy event and their talk on using innovation to grow and Antonia Kinlan’s How to Market Yourself in 2025 talk. Both attracted an audience of over 25 with inspiring sessions that kept people engaged.
Looking Ahead to 2025: Bigger and Better Than Ever!
As we look forward to 2025, we’re already planning some exciting events and inspiring speakers that are sure to make next year even more impactful. From cutting-edge business strategies to motivational talks, there’s so much in store for our networking community.
We’ll also be partnering with Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce to help make HOT Networking even better. You can find out more about MYCC and what they do, including how to become a member, over on their website.
We’re ready to continue building connections, sharing knowledge, and creating opportunities for local businesses to thrive.
