HOT Networking: Managing Difficult Conversations
May 1, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 amFree
We all dread having certain conversations with people, whether it be employees, colleagues, or even friends and family. HOT Networking presentations give you food for thought and techniques to be able to make a positive difference straight away. This month, Karen Amos from Brightbird Coaching and Training will be helping you make difficult conversations easier to have.
Karen Amos takes a practical, results-focused approach to her work, supporting managers and teams on issues such as Time Management, Work-Life Balance, Stress Management, improving communication, building management and leadership skills and developing strategic mindedness.
Many people find giving feedback and resolving differences of opinion to be stressful and they worry about negative outcomes and ‘fall-out’ from this.
There is an alternative that allows you to still be yourself and generate positive outcomes and buy-in from others.
Karen will show you how to give feedback and have conversations with other people that will allow you to develop constructive relationships and achieve positive results. Her simple, problem-solving approach utilises coaching techniques to overcome fears and barriers and build personal confidence.
The event is free to attend. There will be open networking and the chance to share what you do with others during a 60 second pitch before Karen’s presentation and it will finish with more open networking so you can get the details of people you would like to continue having a conversation with.
