At the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre, we have always aimed to provide more than just affordable office space, coworking and meeting venue hire. Our goal is to create a business community in Halifax, with everything you need whether you’re here long-term, or just popping in for the day from another part of Calderdale, Yorkshire or anywhere else in the world.
On site at EWIC, you’ll find one of the best coffee shops in Halifax, comfortable co-working spaces, regular business networking events, a wonderful community filling our permanent office spaces and more!
Connecting the business community
Join us at HOT Networking. A monthly Networking Event that happens on the second Wednesday of every month. Perfect for business professionals in Halifax, Calderdale and surrounding areas to meet, connect and collaborate at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre.
Attending HOT Networking is the ideal way to learn new skills or methods to support your businesses. And, we encourage informal networking before and after speaker presentations, so you could learn about upcoming projects or developments that you could be involved in.

We’re the home of Café No 5 @ Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre. The coffee shop offers delicious food and drink, buzzing with barista coffees and freshly baked cakes every day.
The wide range of hot and cold food will no doubt make your mouth water and your stomach full. Next time you’re in the Centre make sure to check the cafe out.
