The redevelopment of the Elsie Whiteley Mill into the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre has been jointly funded by Yorkshire Forward, the European Union URBAN II Programme through Action Halifax and Calderdale MBC.

The Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre is managed by the Halifax Opportunities Trust, a social enterprise and registered charity working for the advancement of Halifax's diverse communities.

The scheme is publicly funded and is a venture working to support the communities and businesses of Calderdale. Any surpluses derived are reinvested into the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre.
